Fishtail Palm (Caryota mitis)
A most interesting Palm and particularly useful in modern interiors. Note the unusual leaf end in the close-up picture - it has the appearance of being torn.

We use them wherever possible as they grow into substantial plants. They add drama, especially when the new fronds unfurl !
