Dracaena marginata

This variety of Dracaena is very popular because of its minimilist, almost architectural style. Furthermore, the leaves on closer inspection, have a lovely purple margin.

It grows best in dappled natural light or high levels of artificial light and will reward you with heavily leaved branches. (If light is inadequate, the plant will drop the lower leaves, resulting in little crowns of foliage and rather short weak new spikes.)

We show a picture of a 3.0m branched specimen, but smaller ones are available starting at about 1.3m. A budget priced version is available with three ‘canes’ of varying height from 1.5m.
